Born in Lausanne, of Swiss and French nationality, Cédric Pescia studied at the Conservatoire de Lausanne in the class of Christian Favre, with Dominique Merlet at the Geneva Conservatory and at the Universität der Künste in Berlin in the class of Klaus Hellwig. At the same time, he perfected his skills with Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Daniel Barenboim, Christian Zacharias, Andreas Staier and the Alban Berg Quartet. He collaborated as an accompanist in several Lied interpretation courses given by Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.

Cédric Pescia won the First Prize (Gold Medalist) at the 2002 Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition in Salt Lake City, USA. He gave concerts throughout Europe, the United States, Asia and South America; he has played in the Great Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Philharmonie de Paris, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center, the Tonhalle in Zürich and has been invited by prestigious international festivals: Prague Spring,  Lucerne Festival, Menuhin Festival Gstaad, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival.

Founding member of the Lausanne chamber music concert series Ensemble enScène; He has been its artistic director since 2006.

He gives master classes in the United States, Asia and Europe. In 2012, he was appointed professor of piano at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève. He is President of the Artistic Commission of the Geneva International Music Competition.

He recorded more than 20 CDs, which garnered the best reviews. His repertoire is vast, including the entire work of J. S. Bach and R. Schumann; The repertoire of the second half of the 20th century and the 21st century holds a very important place.
