Winner of the prestigious Carl Nielsen International Competition, he won the 1st Prize and the Audience Prize at the Jacques Lancelot \u00a0\u2028International Competition in Tokyo. His recordings published for Apart\u00e9 records \u2013 Harmonia mundi have been widely awarded by international critics (Diapason d\u2019or, Choc of the year by Classica, ffff by T\u00e9l\u00e9rama, \u201cCD of the week\u201d by the Sunday Times, Gramophone, Clef d\u2019Or by Resmusica \u2026) \u00a0\u2028 \u00a0\u2028Pierre Genisson trained at the Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique de Paris with Michel Arrignon for the clarinet, Claire D\u00e9sert, Amy Flammer and Jean Sulem for chamber music. After two unanimous \u2018First prize\u2019 in these two disciplines, he went to perfect his skills at the University of Southern California Los Angeles with \u00a0Pr. Yehuda Gilad where he obtained an\u2018Artist Diploma\u2019. \u00a0Pierre Genisson is regularly invited to perform as a soloist with numerous orchestras such as the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester-Berlin, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC orchestras, Odense Symphony Orchestra, Sichuan Symphony, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, Jyvaskyla Symphony orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra Royal de Li\u00e8ge, the D\u00fcsseldorf Symphony Orchestra\u2026 and collaborates in particular with conductors such as Krystof Urbansky, Olari Elts, Darell Ang, Sacha Goetzel, Krysztof Penderecki, Alexandre Bloch.. \u2028Fond of chamber music, Pierre G\u00e9nisson multiplies musical encounters with many string quartets (Eb\u00e8ne, Modigliani, Jerusalem, Zemlinsky, Herm\u00e8s, Voce, Van Kuijk \u2026), and soloists Claire D\u00e9sert, Franck Braley, Michel Dalberto , Natacha Kudritskaya, Florent Boffard, Renaud Capu\u00e7on, Alexander Sitkovetsky, Genevi\u00e8ve Laurenceau, Marc Bouchkov, Pierre Fouchenneret, Victor Julien Lafferi\u00e8re, Fran\u00e7ois Salque, Les Solistes du Metropolitan Opera de New York, David Bismuth, Nicolas Dautricourt, Marielle Nordmann, Emmanuel Ceysson, Adrien Boisseau, Fran\u00e7ois Dumont, Karine Deshayes, Delphine Haidan \u2026Pierre Genisson has a keen interest in musical creation and regularly collaborates with many composers such as Thierry Escaich, Karol Beffa, Philippe Hersant, Tristan Murail or even Eric Montalbetti \u2026. He is dedicatee from the Clarinet Concerto by Eric Tanguy. \u2028 \u2028Active ambassador of the Buffet Crampon brand, Pierre is invited to give numerous masterclasses in Europe, Asia, USA, Canada, Mexico and he teaches at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris. \u2028The Academy of Fine Arts of the Institut de France awarded him in 2018 the Interpretation Prize \u201cCino del Duca\u201d and he is also a laureate of the Banque Populaire, Safran, and \u201cMusique et Vin au Clos Vougeot\u201d Foundations. \u2028 \u2028Pierre Genisson recorded a CD in tribute to Benny Goodman with the BBC Concert Orchestra (planned release 01-2020); we hear works by Copland, Bernstein, Stravinsky and Goodman.
