Currently, Olivier Gardon teaches at the Schola Cantorum in Paris. Many universities and Hochschule around the world have invited him to give masterclasses. They include Toho Gakuen Tokyo, Yonsei University Seoul, Bowdoin University (Maine), Royal Conservatory of Brussels, Trinity College of Music Laban (London) Leipzig, L\u00fcbeck, and more.\u00a0He has served as a judge at numerous international competitions.\u00a0Many of his students have won First Prizes and awards in prestigious international piano competitions (Concours Marguerite Long, Concours de Gen\u00e8ve, Isang Yun, etc).Olivier Gardon's\u00a0discography includes works by Beethoven, Brahms, Bizet, Debussy, Liszt, Mussorgsky, Milhaud, Schumann, complete piano works by Louis Vierne, and complete chamber music by Alkan, with Kang Dong Suk, and Yvan Chiffoleau (Prix Sp\u00e9cial de la Nouvelle Acad\u00e9mie du disque fran\u00e7ais). In 2011, B\u00e4renreiter published the new\u00a0Urtext Edition of Vierne's piano Pr\u00e9ludes and Nocturnes, revised by Mr. Gardon.Olivier Gardon\u00a0worked under the direction of Pierre Sancan and Jean Hubeau at the Paris Conservatory, and he perfected his skills with Lili Kraus, Gy\u00f6rgy Seb\u00f6k, Geza Anda, and Jean Fassina. He has garnered numerous awards in prestigious international competitions, including the Marguerite Long competition (Grand Prix 1973), the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition (1975), the Viotti International Music Competition, Senigallia, and the Casella Piano Competition in Naples.His first critics hailed him as a \"highly colorful artist,\" and praised his \"elegance, ease, and refined touch\"\u00a0as well as his \"strong stage presence, his torrential sensitiveness, his ability to work the keyboard like a sculptor giving shape to living material.\"Since then, his career as a soloist and chamber musician has taken him to all the greatest musical venues of the world (Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Champs-Elys\u00e9es, Salle Pleyel in Paris, Grosses Festspielhaus in Salzburg, Bunka Keikan and the Kioi Hall in Tokyo, Izumi Hall Osaka, the Dvorak Hall in Prague, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Solis in Montevideo, and more).
