She started to learn piano and harp in her home city before joining the Conservatoire de Paris, encouraged by G. Cziffra. She worked with Aldo Ciccolini (piano) and Jean Hubeau (chamber music), and was awarded a First Prize in piano and a concert license in harp at the Ecole Normale in Paris. She attended the third cycle in Jean-Claude Pennetier\u2019s class. At that time, she regularly attended Maria Curcio-Diamand\u2019s lessons in London.\u00a0 In 1986, she met the composer Maurice\u00a0 Ohana and became one of her favorite performers.\u00a0 She was a finalist at the Clara Haskil Competition in 1989, and won the Victoire de la Musique in the category \"New Talent\" in 1995.\r\n\r\nThis is when her career developed internationally. She has appeared in concert halls and festivals all over the world, from Montpellier to Bath, from the Roque d\u2019Anth\u00e9ron to Kuhmo, from Bagatelle to Locarno, from Colmar to Qu\u00e9bec, from Nantes to Tokyo, and so on.\r\n\r\nShe has played as a soloist under the baton of Frans Br\u00fcggen and Charles Dutoit, Emmanuel Krivine, Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Roth, Jean-Yves Ossonce, Arturo Tamayo, Klaus Weise, with orchestras such as the Orchestre de Paris, the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Bordeaux, the Orchestre National d\u2019\u00efle de France, les Si\u00e8cles, the BBC Scottish Orchestra, Basel Symphonic Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of Luxembourg, the Brussels Philharmonic, and the MDR in Leipzig.\r\n\r\nMarie-Jos\u00e8phe Jude is also a fine chamber musician who plays with Henri Demarquette and Xavier Phillips (cello), Philippe Graffin and Jean-Marc Phillips (violin), Pascal Moragu\u00e8s and Michel Portal (clarinet).\u00a0 In 1997, she founded a piano duo with Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Heisser. Additionally, she regularly plays with Michel B\u00e9roff and Claire D\u00e9sert. She frequently participates in ballets with her brother Charles Jude, \"danseur \u00e9toile,\" and director of the Bordeaux Ballet.\r\n\r\nShe has recorded many CDs for the label Lyrinx, featuring works by\u00a0Brahms and Mendelssohn. Works of Jolivet for the Diapason d\u2019Or,\u00a0 as well as works by Clara Schumann, Dutilleux-Ohana, Beethoven, Chopin, as well as a combo of Ravel and Debussy with Michel B\u00e9roff (2015).\r\n\r\nAfter 4 years of teaching at the Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur in Lyon (2012-2016), she is now a teacher at the CNSM in Paris.
